Your phone needs to support eSIM and must not be carrier-locked or JV (Joint Venture) restricted — a JV handset is SIM-locked to a specific foreign carrier under contract. Your eSIM may not work in China due to several factors. Check if your device is compatible with local networks, ensure that the eSIM is activated correctly, and verify that you have a valid data plan. Additionally, confirm that airplane mode is off and that network settings are properly configured.
